Volunteering for a Habitat project is very rewarding, but spending a week in Manistique with Kevin Brown and Ann MacGregor makes it my favorite week of the year.
Kevin, Ann, Roger, and Linda couldn’t have been more accommodating.
Ann, Kevin, and Roger always emphasized safety on the worksite and made sure there were enough precautions in place to ensure safety for the kids.
It was very cool to learn valuable skills such as shingling and painting. I know I will use these skills again in the future.
I enjoyed this trip because it brought my friends and I closer together.
I learned constructions skills as well as life skills and made new friends, which made this experience amazing.
I learned a lot of new tool skills, as well as social skills. I loved this experience and it is definitely one I will remember forever.
Ann and her staff were so helpful with our stay, allowing us to do our greatest on the worksite.
My second time here - great yet again - good/interesting projects that were well-explained & just the right amount of work.
The students I chaperoned had smiles on their faces the whole time.
